Paula Peterson, MS
In
2005 Paula achieved her Master degree in Mental Health Counseling with a concentration of Alcohol and Drug Abuse from University
of Wisconsin – Stout. She was granted her license as a Professional Counselor by the State of Wisconsin
in 2007.
Paula
has several different areas of specialization. Paula has specialized in trauma therapy for all ages and has worked with many
different areas of mental health issues. Paula also specializes in working with children and adolescents, along with working
closely with parents and schools in order to get the best, most comprehensive care available for the child or adolescent.
She provides couple and family therapy, as needed. Mental health and behavioral health areas that she regularly addresses
include: depression, anxiety, ADHD, obsessions, compulsions, acting out behaviors and other disorders of the childhood years.
Finally, she has led therapy groups in the treatment of unhealthy family dynamics, assertive communication, personal development
and social skills.
Paula provides these services in the context of Bible-Based therapy. She is in the process of finishing the
requirements to be Board Certified by the American Association of Christian Counselors as a Professional Christian Counselor.
